Leibniz University Hannover, located in Hannover, Germany, is one of the leading research universities in Europe. Founded in 1831 as the Georg-August University of Göttingen, it was renamed after the German polymath Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz in 1886. The university is organized into 12 faculties and provides education to over 28,000 students.
