In his work Optica, the great scientist and doctor of sciences Newton described the nature of light and color. He showed that white light is composed of all colors of the rainbow, and that these colors can be separated using a glass prism. He also showed that when these colors are combined, they produce white light again.

Newton’s laws of optics are still used today to understand the behavior of light. These laws describe how light behaves when it strikes a surface, such as a mirror or a lens. They also explain why we see the world the way we do.

The study of optics is important for many different fields. For example, Optics is used in telescopes to help us see distant objects in space. It is also used in microscopes to allow us to see small things that are too tiny to be seen with our eyes alone.

There are two main types of optics: geometrical optics and physical optics. Geometrical optics deals with the path that light takes as it travels from one point to another. Physical optics deals with the properties of light itself, such as its wavelength and frequency.
