Susy

Susy

Susy is a supersymmetric extension of the Standard Model of elementary particle physics. It introduces new superpartner particles for each existing particle, in order to cancel out various quantum corrections and thus stabilize the electroweak scale. Susy has been proposed as a solution to the hierarchy problem, and it also provides a candidate for dark matter. However, susy has not yet been observed experimentally, and if it exists, it must be broken at some energy scale in order to explain the absence of superpartners at lower energies.
