West Virginia University (WVU) is a public, land-grant, research university in Morgantown, West Virginia, United States. Its other campuses include those in Beckley, Keyser, and Parkersburg. It has an enrollment of about 30,000 students from all 50 states and more than 100 countries. The school was founded in 1867 as the Agricultural College of West Virginia under the Morrill Land-Grant Colleges Act. WVU Extension Service provides outreach with offices in all of the state’s 55 counties.
