American Academy of Neurology (AAN) is a professional medical organization dedicated to advancing the field of neurology by promoting excellence in patient care, education and research. Founded in 1948 as the American Neurological Association, it was renamed the American Academy of Neurology (AAN) in 1965.
The AAN is composed of over 36,000 members from around the world who are dedicated to improving treatments for neurological diseases and disorders through clinical practice, teaching and research.
