Arabian Desert
The Arabian Desert is a vast desert located in the Middle East. It spans across much of the area between Yemen and Oman, and encompasses parts of Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Kuwait, Iraq and the United Arab Emirates. The terrain is mostly flat with sand dunes scattered throughout its surface.
The main climate feature of this desert is its extreme aridity, making it one of the most arid regions on earth. Average annual rainfall ranges from zero or almost none in many places to just over 100 millimeters (4 inches) near coastal regions and mountains.
This region has an ancient history as part of major trade routes since antiquity; today it still remains relatively sparsely populated due to lack water resources available for drinking or agriculture purposes which makes it difficult to sustain large communities here despite its great potential for solar powered energy production given its high average sunshine hours per day throughout the year .
