Aura (plural auras or aurae; from the Latin word for “breeze”) is an invisible field of radiation surrounding a person or object. Auras are often associated with mystical or paranormal phenomena.
Aura photography is a type of photography that captures images of auras, typically as colorful patterns, around people’s heads. While the scientific validity of aura photography is disputed, many believe that the colors captured in aura photos correspond to different emotional states and physical health conditions.
Some people claim to be able to seeauras without the aid of technology. These individuals, known as aura readers or aura seers, say they can interpret the colors and patterns they see in someone’s aura to glean information about their personality, health, and spiritual state.
There is no scientific evidence that human beings emit anaura, but some scientists have suggested that animals may have something similar to an aura. One theory posits that animals produce low-frequency electromagnetic fields that can be detected by other creatures sensitive to these frequencies. This hypothetical animal ability has been dubbed “biological radar” or “bio-location.”
