Brandeis University is a renowned research university located in Waltham, Massachusetts, United States. The university is highly selective in admissions, with an acceptance rate of only 29% for the class of 2023. Brandeis was founded in 1948 as a Jewish-sponsored non-sectarian institution on the site of the former Middlesex University. The university is named after Louis Dembitz Brandeis, the first Jewish Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court.
