Els

Els (Enceladus) is a small, bright moon of Saturn. It was discovered in 1789 by William Herschel. Els is mostly made of ice and has a very reflective surface, which makes it one of the brightest objects in the solar system. The average temperature on Els is -198°C (-324°F), but there are warm areas near the south pole that have been found to be as warm as -140°C (-292°F). These warm areas are called “tiger stripes” because they look like tiger stripes when seen from space.
els has an atmosphere that is mostly made up of water vapor and nitrogen. There may also be some carbon dioxide and methane present. The atmospheric pressure on els is about 1/100th of what it is on Earth.
The interior of Els is thought to be similar to the interior of Europa, another moon of Jupiter. Both moons have a rocky core, an icy mantle, and an outer layer of water vapor and other gases.El’s diameteris about 500 kilometers (310 miles), making it about one-fifteenth the size of Earth’s Moon Its massis about 1/600th that of Earth’s Moon

Els probably formed in Saturn’s orbit after Saturn formed. This means that Els is 4.5 billion years old!
