European Society For Paediatric Endocrinology

The European Society for Paediatric Endocrinology (ESPE) is a scientific and medical organization that promotes research and advances the clinical care of children with endocrine disorders. Founded in 1970, ESPE now has over 1,400 members from 72 countries. It is the largest professional society of its kind in Europe.

ESPE’s mission is to foster excellence in paediatric endocrinology through:
– Support of high quality research
– Dissemination of knowledge to clinicians and scientists
– Advocacy for optimal patient care

To achieve its mission, ESPE organizes an annual meeting, publishes a peer-reviewed journal (Journal of Pediatric Endocrinology & Metabolism), provides grants and awards, and engages in advocacy activities at the European Union level.

The majority of ESPE’s members are paediatric endocrinologists working in clinical settings, although the Society also includes basic science researchers, nurses, dietitians, psychologists, and other health professionals with an interest in paediatric endocrine disorders.
