Flu

Flu, or influenza, is a highly contagious respiratory illness caused by viruses. It can cause severe symptoms and even death in some people. The flu is different from the common cold, which is also caused by viruses, but the symptoms are usually milder. The flu can occur at any time of year, but it is most common in the winter months.

There are many different types of flu virus, and they are constantly changing. This means that even if you have had the flu before, you can still get it again. The best way to protect yourself from the flu is to get vaccinated every year.

The flu vaccine works by protecting against the most common types of influenza viruses. It takes about two weeks for the vaccine to become fully effective. Theflu vaccine is safe for most people, but there are a few exceptions. People with severe allergies to eggs or other ingredients in the vaccine should not get vaccinated. And pregnant women should talk to their doctor before getting vaccinated.

The best way to prevent the spread of flu is to practice good hygiene habits such as washing your hands often and avoiding close contact with people who are sick. If you do get sick, stay home from work or school and avoid contact with others as much as possible so you don’t make them sick too
