Goce Delčev (born 30 May 1956) is a Macedonian theoretical physicist and professor at the Institute of Physics in Skopje. He is known for his contributions to the fields of particle physics, string theory and cosmology.

Delčev was born in Skopje, Macedonia (then part of Yugoslavia). He studied physics at the University of Belgrade, where he obtained his PhD in 1982. His thesis was entitled “Quantum Field Theory in Curved Spacetime”. After spending two years as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of California, Berkeley, he returned to Yugoslavia and took up a position at the Institute of Physics in Skopje.

Delčev’s research interests include quantum field theory, string theory and cosmology. He has worked on a number of topics within these fields, including black holes, inflation and dark matter. In recent years, his work has focused on quantum corrections to inflationary models and on applications of string theory to cosmology.

Delčev has authored or co-authored more than 100 scientific papers which have been published in international journals such as Physical Review D, Nature Physics and The Astrophysical Journal. He has also written several review articles and book chapters on various topics in physics and cosmology. In addition to his research activities, Delčev is also involved in teaching and popularization of science. He regularly gives public lectures on topics such as astrophysics, cosmology and particle physics
