H17

H17 is a subtype of the human leukocyte antigen (HLA) class I molecule. HLA class I molecules are cell surface glycoproteins that function in the immune system by presenting peptides to CD8+ T cells. H17 is found in high levels on epithelial cells, which play an important role in protecting the body from infection. H17 has also been shown to be involved in autoimmune diseases and cancer.
