Heliosheath

The heliosheath is the outermost layer of the solar system. It extends from the termination shock, where the solar wind slows down as it encounters the interstellar medium, to the heliopause, where the solar wind pressure equals that of the interstellar medium. The heliosheath is filled with plasma from both the Sun and from outside the Solar System.
