Jellyfish

Jellyfish are a type of animal that live in the water. They are also known as medusae. Jellyfish are invertebrates, meaning they do not have a backbone. Jellyfish come in many different shapes and sizes. Some jellyfish are very small, while others can be as large as a person!

Jellyfish are often thought of as being harmless creatures. However, some jellyfish can sting people if they touch them. Some jellyfish stings can be very painful, while others can even be deadly!

Jellyfish live in all oceans of the world. They usually stay near the surface of the water, but some species can travel deep down into the ocean depths. Jellyfish typically eat small fish or plankton. They use their tentacles to sting their prey and then bring it towards their mouth to eat it.

Some people think jellyfish are beautiful creatures. Others find them to be strange or even scary!
