Mseas is a research scientist and doctor of sciences who has made outstanding contributions to the field of oceanography.

His research has focused on the study of the physical and chemical properties of seawater, as well as on the dynamics of ocean circulation. He has also worked on the development of numerical models to simulate oceanographic processes.

In addition to his scientific work, Mseas has also been active in public outreach and education. He is a member of the Oceanography Society and the American Geophysical Union, and he has served on the board of directors of the Marine Mammal Commission.

Mseas was born in Greece in 1965. He received his undergraduate degree in physics from Aristotle University in Thessaloniki, Greece, and his PhD in oceanography from Scripps Institution of Oceanography at UC San Diego. After completing his postdoctoral work at Scripps, he joined the faculty at Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, where he is currently a Senior Scientist.
