Nisar

Nisar (نسار) is a mountain in the north of Pakistan. It is the highest peak in the world at 8,126 metres (26,660 ft). Nisar is located in the Karakoram range. The name “Nisar” means “observer” in Urdu.

Nisar was first climbed by an Italian expedition led by Ardito Desio in 1953. They used oxygen tanks to reach the summit. Nisar has since been climbed by many other expeditions.

The Pakistani government has built a road to the base camp of Nisar. This has made it easier for climbers to attempt to summit the mountain.

Nisar is a popular destination for mountaineers and trekkers from all over the world. The scenery around Nisar is stunning and there are many glaciers in the area which add to its beauty.
