Nro is a Russian space telescope launched on July 18, 2014. It has a mass of about 2300 kg and is the largest telescope ever sent into orbit. Nro is designed to study the universe in ultraviolet, visible, and near-infrared light. The telescope will allow scientists to map the distribution of dark matter and search for signs of life on other planets.
