Prehistory

Prehistory is the period before written history. It is different from history in that it refers to the time before humans began to record events. The study of prehistory is important because it allows us to understand how human societies developed over time. Prehistory can be divided into three main periods: the Stone Age, the Bronze Age, and the Iron Age.

The Stone Age is the earliest period of prehistory. It began about 2.5 million years ago and ended around 4,500 BC. During this time, humans used stone tools and weapons. The Bronze Age began around 4,500 BC and ended around 3,000 BC. During this time, humans began to use bronze tools and weapons. The Iron Age began around 3,000 BC and ended around 1,000 BC. During this time, humans began to use iron tools and weapons.

The study of prehistory is important because it can help us understand the development of human societies over time. It can also help us understand how our ancestors lived their lives.
