Rcw 120

Rcw 120 is a star in the constellation of Cancer. It is about 1,000 times more luminous than our Sun and has a mass of around 2.5 solar masses. Rcw 120 is classified as an emission-line star, which means that it shows strong emission lines in its spectrum. These are produced by a disk of material around the star, which is heated up by the star’s radiation. Rcw 120 is thought to be in a young stage of evolution, and will eventually become a red giant star.
