Roswell Park Cancer Institute (RPCI) is a comprehensive cancer center located in Buffalo, New York. It is the only cancer center in upstate New York that is designated by the National Cancer Institute (NCI) as a Comprehensive Cancer Center. RPCI is also a member of the NCI-designated Clinical Trials Network and a founding member of the National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN). The institute’s mission is to understand, prevent and cure cancer.

RPCI was founded in 1898 by Dr. Roswell Park, one of the world’s first cancer surgeons. Today, RPCI is one of the largest cancer centers in the United States, with over 1,400 employees and more than 200 physicians and scientists on staff. The institute treats more than 20,000 patients each year from all over the world.

RPCI offers a wide range of services for cancer patients, including surgery, radiation therapy, chemotherapy, immunotherapy, gene therapy and precision medicine. The institute also has an extensive basic research program focused on understanding how cancers develop and identifying new ways to treat them. In addition, RPCI offers educational programs for medical professionals and the general public about cancer prevention and early detection.
