Sao Paulo State University (UNESP) is a public university in the state of Sao Paulo, Brazil. It was founded in 1976 and is organized into 24 campuses. UNESP is one of the largest universities in Brazil, with over 45,000 students enrolled. The university offers undergraduate and graduate programs in a wide range of disciplines, including engineering, sciences, humanities, and health sciences.

UNESP has a strong research focus and is home to a number of research institutes. The university also operates several hospitals and clinics, which provide care to the community and serve as training ground for UNESP students.
