Taylor Francis Group

Taylor Francis Group is an international scientific, technical and medical publishing company. It is a subsidiary of Informa plc, a leading provider of information services for the academic and professional communities worldwide. Taylor Francis Group publishes over 2,000 journals, 30,000 e-books and 200 reference works each year under the Routledge imprint. The company also offers online resources such as SciFinder® and Toxnet®, which offer access to databases of chemical structures and toxicological data respectively.

In addition to its scientific and technical publishing activities, Taylor Francis Group also provides open access publishing services through its Cogent Open Access imprint. This imprint offers authors a choice of Creative Commons licensing options for their work, ensuring that it is freely available to readers around the world.

The company was founded in 2004 following the merger of two leading publishers: Taylor & Francis Group (which itself was formed by the merger of Routledge & Kegan Paul and Chapman & Hall) and Informa UK Limited (the parent company of Butterworth-Heinemann).
