The UCL Institute of Education (IOE) is a world-leading centre for education and social science research, teaching, and engagement. Founded in 1902, the IOE was ranked first in the world for education in the 2020 QS World University Rankings. It is also ranked as the top institution in Europe for education research according to the 2019 Times Higher Education European Teaching Rankings. The IOE is a constituent college of the University of London and its campus is located in central London, close to Russell Square.
