The Jaume I University (in Spanish: Universitat Jaume I, UJI) is a public university located in Castellón de la Plana, Valencia, Spain. It was founded in 1991. The current Rector is M. Rosa Aguilar Ramos.

The University offers degrees in a wide variety of subjects including Arts and Humanities, Business, Economics and Law, Health Sciences, Social Sciences and Technology. It has over 11,000 students enrolled and employs over 1,200 teaching staff and researchers.

Research at the University is conducted in a number of centres and institutes including the Institute of Materials Science of Barcelona (ICMAB-CSIC), the Institute for Cross-Disciplinary Physics and Complex Systems (IFISC-CSIC), the Institute of Agrochemistry and Food Technology (IATA-CSIC) and the Institute of Biomedicine of Seville (IBIS). The University also has a number of research groups working in areas such as nanotechnology, renewable energy, biotechnology and Information Society Technologies.

The University has exchange programmes with universities all over the world including Canada, China, France, Germany Italy Mexico and the United States.
