The University of Southern Denmark is a public university located in Odense, Denmark. It was established in 1966 and currently has over 21,000 students, 1,200 employees and 130 study programmes. The University of Southern Denmark offers both undergraduate and graduate programmes in a wide range of disciplines including engineering, natural sciences, social sciences, health sciences and business. The University of Southern Denmark is an internationally oriented university with a strong focus on research and education. The University of Southern Denmark has a wide range of international partners and offers a number of programmes taught entirely in English.
The University of Southern Denmark was founded in 1966 with the merger of Odense State College (established 1946) and the South Jutland Counties’ Higher Education Institution (established 1959). The name was changed to the University of Southern Denmark in 1998.The main campus is located in Odense with additional campuses located in Kolding and Esbjerg .
The University of Southern Denmark is organised into five faculties:

Each faculty offers both undergraduate and graduate programmes. In addition to this, the university also offers a number og specialised graduate schools . Research at the University of Southern Denmark covers a broad range og topics within each faculty as well as interdisciplinary research .
