The University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) is an American public research university in San Antonio, Texas. With over 32,000 students, it is the largest university in San Antonio and the eighth-largest in the state of Texas. It was founded in 1969 as a component institution of The University of Texas System and now serves as its flagship campus.
Located on 586 acres (237 ha) on the far northwest side of San Antonio, UTSA has four campuses across the city: Main Campus, Downtown Campus, Hemisfair Campus, and Park West Campus. The Main Campus is recognized by its iconic six-story Rolling Oaks Mall which houses a variety of businesses and services for students.UTSA offer bachelor’s, master’s, doctoral, and professional degree programs through its eight colleges: Architecture, Business, Education & Human Development; Engineering; Honors College; Liberal & Fine Arts; Public Policy; Sciences; and Social & Behavioral Sciences.
In 2019 UTSA was ranked tied for 140th among all national universities by U.S. News & World Report
