Valery Rozov (born April 13, 1971) is a Russian BASE jumper and wingsuit flyer. He set numerous world records, including the highest BASE jump from Mount Everest and the longest wingsuit flight under an open-air bridge.

Rozov was born in Moscow. In 1988, he started climbing and soon became one of the best rock climbers in the Soviet Union. He made his first BASE jump in 1992, after being inspired by a video of French base jumper Patrick de Gayardon. Rozov quickly developed a reputation as a skilled and innovative base jumper, setting multiple world records. In 1999, he became the first person to base jump from 7 summits (the highest peak on each continent).

In 2013, Rozov made headlines when he completed the highest BASE jump ever attempted, leaping from the summit of Mount Everest. The following year, he set another world record with the longest wingsuit flight under an open-air bridge (spanning 1,275 meters).

Rozov’s accomplishments have earned him widespread respect within the extreme sports community. He is widely considered to be one of the greatest base jumpers of all time.
