Vhio

Vhio

Vhio (vee-high-oh) is a plant extract that has been used traditionally in South America for centuries. It is extracted from the leaves of the Vhio tree, which is native to Peru and Bolivia. The name “vhio” comes from the Quechua word meaning “to give strength”.

The active ingredient in vhio is thought to be dibenzo[a,c]phenanthrene, which has shown promise in animal studies as an anti-inflammatory agent. Vhio has been used traditionally to treat a variety of conditions including arthritis, muscle pain, and wounds.

A small clinical trial published in 2012 found that vhio was effective at reducing pain and inflammation in patients with osteoarthritis of the knee. The trial participants took either a placebo or vhio capsules three times daily for eight weeks. At the end of the study, those who had taken vhio showed significant improvements in pain and function compared to those who took the placebo. There were no serious side effects reported in any of the participants.

Based on these promising results, further research is warranted to investigate the potential therapeutic benefits of vhio for treating other inflammatory conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis and Crohn’s disease.
