Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center (also known as WakeMed) is a medical center located in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, United States. It is the largest hospital in Forsyth County and the only Level I trauma center in the county. The medical center consists of two main campuses: the original one near downtown Winston-Salem, and a second one located north of the city in Clemmons.

The medical center offers a wide range of services, including cancer care, heart and vascular care, women’s health, neurosciences, orthopedics, transplantation and more. In addition to its adult hospitals, WakeMed also operates Children’s Hospital – Brenner Children’s Hospital, which is ranked among the best children’s hospitals in the country by U.S. News & World Report.

Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center is affiliated with Wake Forest School of Medicine, one of the top medical schools in the United States according to U.S. News & World Report. The school offers a full range of undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate programs.
