Zelboraf (vemurafenib) is a cancer medicine that interferes with the growth and spread of cancer cells in the body.

Zelboraf is used to treat melanoma that has spread to other parts of the body or cannot be removed by surgery, and did not respond to other treatments.
Zelboraf may also be used for purposes not listed in this medication guide.

Important Information
You should not use Zelboraf if you are allergic to vemurafenib. To make sure Zelboraf is safe for you, tell your doctor if you have ever had: kidney disease; liver disease; heart disease; a bleeding or blood clotting disorder such as hemophilia; high cholesterol or triglycerides (a type of fat in the blood); diabetes; a seizure disorder; brain tumor; or any condition that affects your nervous system such as Parkinson’s disease or Alzheimer’s disease. You may develop new skin cancers while taking Zelboraf. However, these new skin cancers are usually not life-threatening. Talk with your doctor about your specific risks. FDA pregnancy category D. It is not known whether Zelboraf will harm an unborn baby. Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant while using this medicine. It is not known whether vemurafenib passes into breast milk or if it could harm a nursing baby. You should not breast-feed while using Zelboraf . Do not take this medicine without a doctor’s advice if you are pregnant. Get emergency medical help if you have signs of an allergic reaction: hives ; difficult breathing; swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat.. Call your doctor at once if you have: severe stomach pain , diarrhea that is watery or bloody;; coughing up blood;; jaundice (yellowing of the skin or eyes); feeling short of breath,, rapid weight gain, urinating less than usual;; chest pain , irregular heartbeat;; sudden numbness , weakness,, slurred speech;; seizure ;; vision problems;; headache , confusion,, unusual thoughts or behavior;; bruising , unusual bleeding (nosebleeds,, bleeding gums), purple spots under your skin.; Swelling in Your Legs – Symptoms & Signs Overview Melanoma Treatment (PDQ®)-Patient Version – National Cancer Institute
