Washington State University (WSU) is a public research university in the U.S. state of Washington. Founded in 1890, WSU is one of the oldest land-grant universities in the West and features 30 research centers and institutes. The university’s main campus is located in Pullman, with branch campuses in Spokane, Tri-Cities, and Vancouver.

The university enrolls approximately 30,000 students annually and has a student-to-faculty ratio of 16:1. WSU’s athletic teams compete in Division I of the NCAA as members of the Pac-12 Conference. The men’s basketball team has reached the NCAA tournament 15 times, while the football team has played in bowl games six times since 2002.
