Space Capsule

Space Capsule

A space capsule is a spacecraft which is used to transport astronauts and other crew members from Earth to an orbiting space station or to land on another planet. The first space capsule was the Russian Soyuz, which was launched in 1967. Since then, many different types of space capsules have been developed by various countries.

The interior of a space capsule is very cramped, and there are no windows. The astronauts sit on ejection seats, which are designed to protect them in case of an emergency landing. There is also a control panel where the astronaut can operate the spacecraft.

Space capsules typically have two or three stages. The first stage is the launch vehicle, which carries the capsule into orbit. The second stage is the orbital module, where the astronauts live and work while in orbit. The third stage is the return module, which brings the astronauts back to Earth.
